VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Our term is almost over and we will be returning to the U.S. on July 23. We will be returning to Central Europe next year. We are praying that we will be able to return for the start of school in the fall of 2008. While we are home we will be going through the process of changing our status as missionaries. By "moving up" to a new category as missionaries we will be better equipped to live and minister on the field for the long-term. This means that our monthly budget will increase and we will be itinerating to raise additional funds. If you are one of our monthly supporters and receive a letter stating that our term is over, please do not stop sending your monthly support. Our missionary service is not over. We have a life-time call to missions and will be returning to the field. We will need your continued support while we are in the U.S. for itineration. Just as on the field, your monthly support will be our only source of income. Thanks for your continued support as we travel and share missions with churches and individuals in the U.S. Pray that things go well in the States and that we can return to Central Europe as soon as possible!
In May, we worked with a great team from Montgomery, Alabama at the Teen Challenge in Postovice, Czech. It was exciting because this was the first missions trip this church had ever done. Everyone worked hard laying block, pouring concrete, doing carpentry, and scraping walls. I think everyone was touched by the testimonies of the Teen Challenge staff as well as the ongoing ministry of the Czech TC. They now have 40 students in the program! They still need more space. When the buildings are completed, they will have room for approximately 100-150 students. To everyone who came from Montgomery, thanks for helping make it possible for more people in the Czech Republic to be free from the bondage of drugs and alcohol. I know God will bless their church for being involved in missions.
We were in Zwickau, Germany last Saturday for a luge competition. Nathan was competing for the first time since February. This was one of his last two competitions before we leave for the U.S. He did great. He finished in 2nd place out of 21 boys. We were so excited for him. He got to stand up on the platform and he even got a silver medal! He has one more competition in Bautzen on June 24.
This weekend we travel to Swiebodzin to visit the church there for the last time before we leave. It will be great to see everyone there. We actually get to stay in the upstairs part of the church that we helped to finish. That is really awesome.
Soon we will begin to pack things up and move out of our apartment. It is bittersweet, I am looking forward to being back in the U.S. for a while to see family and friends and share missions. But, it is hard to leave Central Europe because it really seems like home with our friends and ministry here.
Praise God for His faithfulness and goodness! He really is awesome! Until next time...
