Miracles in Vtackovce, Slovakia

There is a Roma church of 250-300 people located in the village of Vtackovce, Slovakia.  The church began meeting in one of the homes in the village, but quickly outgrew the limited space.  They packed around 100 people in a space about 25 ft. X 15 ft., but there were still more who wanted to come.  They began putting speakers outside for people who couldn't fit in the building.  One day, at the close of the service, the pastor gave an invitation to accept Jesus.  Many people responded, but the pastor felt he needed to continue his appeal.  He gave the invitation three times, and after the third time, he heard a lady's voice from a house around 50 meters away.  The lady was yelling, "Wait on me, I want to accept Jesus!", "Wait on me, I want to accept Jesus!"  This is just one of many great stories from the incredible move of God among the Roma of Slovakia.  God is changing so many lives.  It is a wonderful thing to witness.  This church was in need of a bigger meeting space, and knew of a building that was empty.  This building was built during the communist time and was owned by the town.  During the communist era, this particular land was a collective farm.  This building was constructed as a storehouse for the harvest of crops from this farm.  The building had been empty for years and was perfect for a church.  It was two stories, with both floors big and wide open.  It was perfect for a meeting room for services, and classrooms for children could be built easily.  We hosted a youth team from our home church in this village about 4 years ago.  We all stood inside this building and prayed that God would make a way for the church to use it.  Many prayers were lifted up by many different people, and God has provided.  Not only is the church now using the building, but we just hosted two teams doing renovations on this building!  A team from Camp Hill, PA and another from Jacksonville, FL each spent a week building walls, doing drywall, working on drop ceilings, and a lot of painting to make this building look like new on the inside.  A special thanks to all of those who came and served the Roma.  You were such a blessing to the church and to us!  We know God has even greater things ahead for this church, and we look forward to helping them even more next year.  If you would like to bring a team to work in Vtackovce in 2016, let us know.
