I just got back from another planning trip, this time to Swiebodzin, Poland. A team is coming there in the fall to help with a church renovation. I will also be working with Polish missionary and good friend, Dennis Holcomb. This was a short trip, only Saturday and Sunday. Swiebodzin is only 62 km from the German border, go to Berlin and head east, about 3 hours drive from Dresden. We met with Bogdan, a church elder who is also an engineer, and the pastor to look at the project. The church has done a tremendous job so far. They took an old two-story building and turned it into a like-new three-story building. It is mostly finished except for the third floor. The team coming will have a variety of work to do including concrete, insulation, tile, painting, drywall, etc. It is a typical little Polish town of about 20,000 people. The team will really get a good taste of Poland when they are here. We really had a nice time with the engineer and the pastor and his wife during our visit. It was also great seeing Dennis and Diane Holcomb again. Dennis preached on Sunday morning, it was nice to hear a sermon in English. Lenee' and the kids were not able to go. So, Lenee' took Nathan and Aaron to a special children's program on Saturday at our church in Dresden. I leave for Vienna this Thursday, the 26th. I will be by myself again as Nathan has school. I know Lenee' hates to miss this trip because she really loves Vienna. Pray for Lenee', of the two of us she definitely has the toughest job. I go different places and work with 10-20 adults while she is home dealing with 4 kids under 7 years old all day long for one or two weeks. I told her that her job is much harder than mine. We just wanted to say thanks again for everyone's prayers and financial support. We are here because of your partnership. And it truly is a partnership. You play just as big a role in assisting these churches in Central Europe as we do. I want to make sure everyone knows that. You are part of the team that is making a difference throughout Central Europe. Your giving and prayers have already touched churches in 5 countries, just in the last 10 months. Thanks so much for your faithfulness. It is difficult with the value of the dollar being so low (it has improved a little), but God is our provision and it is truly miraculous how he has provided everything we need. We give Him all the glory for getting us here and keeping us here. It truly is a testimony of His provision. Praise the Lord!
Until next time.....
